These eggs are perfect in every way. I have looked long and hard to find quality wood egg boxes and I never imagined that they would also be the best priced. They are incredibly well made with a silky finish, and sanded to a smooth sheen. The bottom surface is flattened just enough for the box to stand fine on it’s own. The inside is finished nicely, and I like the fact that some of the lathe tooling marks are still evident, showing it was made by hand with care. The grain is different on each egg and subtle enough so that you can easily decorate to your liking without the grain getting in the way. That being said, some of the eggs have a grain that beckons to be embellished using your creativity. These will be jewels when I’m done with them. I will wood burn intricate designs that will be enhanced by inlays, gold leaf and water color. The inside of the box is so nice, I don’t know if I will even line them. I will definitely buy them again.

I was so excited to get the Natural Wood Easter Eggs! They are absolutely lovely and I feel like I got a huge Easter treat in the mail. The natural wood looks nice and you could easily keep them just like that. We are a crafty family though and painting them will be a fun Easter activity. If you cringe at the sight of the plastic Easter eggs, which often fall open, these are an excellent option. These stay closed well and then twist open. They are sturdy yet light. You can reuse these year after year and I see them becoming a family tradition and eventual heirloom passed down to my grandkids for their Easter Sunday. They even have a cute burlap storage sack which will make storing them a breeze. Highly recommend!
